A Homemade Recipe To Really Show Off in the Kitchen!

Everyone loves great home-cooked food, but finding time to make a big meal for an entire family or group of friends can be difficult in this day and age. As convenient as it might be to eat out or buy ready meals, nothing beats a lovingly prepared meal made at home, and the satisfaction that comes with it. Best of all, you’re in control, so you can add your own favorite ingredients and your own individual flair, for your own unique style of cuisine.
Here’s a great recipe for some delicious home-made food… the kind you certainly wouldn’t find at your local fast food restaurant!
Ox Tail in Red Wine Sauce – serves 4
1 ox tail – around 2 pounds
150ml red wine
150ml white wine
2 leeks
2 tomatoes
1 medium onion
3 garlic cloves
2 carrots
1/2 dry pepper
1 bay leaf
1 cup of oil
Salt, flour, black pepper

Start off by chopping the ox tail into individual pieces, seasoning the tail pieces, then heat the oil and add the meat to the pan until they’re nicely browned. As with other red meats, you can cook them as thoroughly as you like, keep them a bit rare to ensure they’re nice and tender.
Use two tablespoons of oil for the sauce- any more and it’ll be too greasy. Add the onion, garlic, leeks, may leaf, dry pepper and carrots, cutting/mincing the ingredients, and saute until it is halfway browned. Finally add the tomato and let the lot cook for another 15 minutes.
In a second saucepan, heat the tail over a medium flame, with both wines, and heat down the mixture until half the liquid has boiled away. Place the vegetables on top, and then keep cooing for another 20 minutes.
Next you’ll want to take out the tail pieces while they’re still hot, and just rub off any bits of vegetable that are still attached. Mash up the vegetables in a pot with the sauce, and pour back on top of the tail. Another 15 minutes of gentle cooking will result in a delicious, tender meat, that should be served hot.Kuliner kota Malang
